Methodist Obituary
Mr. Ellis, 77 Pineville, died at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 1971, at the Gravette Medical Ceneter, Gravette, Arkansas. He had been a patient there for the past four days.
Mr. Ellis had lived most of his life in the Pineville area. He was born in Missouri on June 16, 1893 and was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Churh in the Roller Community near Powell.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, a son, Maurice Ellis, Wheaton, two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Kirksey, Buffalo, and Mrs. Nadine Bradley, Alburquerque, N.M., four brothers, Arthur Ellis and Earl Ellis, both of Pineville, Rube Ellis and Claude Ellis, both of Duenweg; a sister Mrs. Pearl Gordon, Visalia, California, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. George Wade, the Rev. Bob Cooper and the Rev. Johnnie Williams at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pineville Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Roller Cemetery under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home, Pineville. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
