Mrs. Ruth O. Ellis, 82, Pineville, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 1978, at Cox Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness. Mrs. Ellis was born June 14, 1895, in Washburn and had lived all of her life in the Pineville area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Pineville.

Survivors include a son, Maurice Ellis of Wheaaton; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Kirksey, Buffalo, and Mrs. Nadine Raines, Grants, New Mexico; one brother, Wyatt Laughlin, Riverton, Kansas, three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Bunch, Webb City, Missouri, Mrs. Georgia Camp and Mrs. Willa Bowman both of Neosho, Missouri, 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Pineville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy B. Stribling officiating. Burial will be in the Roller Cemetery under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home, Pineville.

Grandsons who will serve as pallbearers are Mike Kirksey, Jerry Kirksey, Ron Ellis, Charles Bradley, Gary Goostree and Ken McGuffey
