Moses Clifford Stephens

ANDERSON FARMER DIES THURSDAY FROM INJURIES RECEIVED APRIL 16, 1956

   Moses Clifford Stephens, 55 year old farmer of Route 3, Anderson, Missouri, died Thursday afternoon in the McDonald County Osteopathic Hospital at Noel of injuries received April 16th when he was struck by a falling tree. Mr. Stephens sustained a fractured skull and injuries to his neck and shoulder in the accident and never regained consciousness.
 
  Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Full Gospel Church in Anderson with Rev. Jim Royce officiating, assisted by Rev. Bob Cooper. Burial was in the Anderson Cemetery under the direction of the Rapp Funeral Home.

   Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emmaline Stephens; seven sons: Junior of Route 3, Anderson, Paul of Kingman, Kansas, LeRoy of Route 3 Anderson, and Bob, Robert, Larry and Donald all of the home. Three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Luellen, Rockford, Illinois, Mrs. Irene Williams of Route 3, Anderson, Missouri and Mary Ann of the home. His mother, Mrs. Janey Lawson Stephens Exum of Chetopa, Kansas; seven brothers, Homer of Granby, Harvey of Hiawatha, Arkansas, John of Exeter, Frank of Rio Dell, California, Carlin of Vista, California, Lewis of Anderson and Edward of Parma, Idaho and nine grandchildren.
